I don't see an option to print Avery 8460 Labels from the drop down menu.  Can I upload the 8460 template onto QB or am I limited the options displayed?

Yes, you can upload the Avery 8460 template in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Willy Wonka. I'm here to guide you how.

You're able to create custom templates for your forms (i.e., invoices, sales receipts, estimates, statements, and purchase orders) in QBDT. This way, you're in control of how they look and what information to include.

Before we start, please know the following limitations when importing templates in QBDT:

  • You're unable to import customized templates created in newer versions of QuickBooks into older ones.
  • You can’t import templates created in one regional version of QuickBooks into another.

Whenever you're ready, here's how to import your Avery 8460 template:

  1. Open the company file that you want to import the template into.
  2. Go to the Lists menu.
  3. Select Templates.
  4. Choose the Templates drop-down, then select Import.
  5. Select the template you want to import, then select Open.
  6. Name the imported template. You can keep the original name or change it.
  7. Select OK. You should now see the imported template on the template list.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the fourth and fifth steps.

Also, you can create custom fields to personalize and capture specific customer, vendor, employee, product, and service details in QBDT. You can do this to your sales forms and reports to focus on the info that matters most to your business. If you wish to know more about this, you can refer to this article: Create and use custom fields in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other concerns about importing form templates or inquiries about managing your transactions in QBDT, I'm just around to help. Take care always
