Best way to track job costs

Hi there,

We are a commercial clenaing business and some jobs we get are for $3000 and some are for $100K.  I am wondering what is the best way to track the charges per job?  Ideally I want it to be as follows:

XXX Job invoiced for $100,000

Job Costs listed below

I am used to have a Project code for each job (not in QB Online) but other forms of tracking jobs.

I am using Quickbooks online Intuit.

Hey @Kristy2

Have you looked at the Projects Center for QuickBooks Online? It lets you tag transactions and hours to specific projects without doing any funky chart recategorization or making permanent changes to your data. You can also do retroactive tagging and get reports specific to jobs from the Projects Center dashboard.
