Can you copy & paste a line within an invoice or estimate?

Is there any way to "copy line" then "paste line" on an estimate or invoice?

I'm assuming not, since there doesn't appear to be any function to do this, but seems like yet another simple and extremely useful time-saving feature that was forgotten along the way.

Why are so many useful features from Desktop just eliminated??

Sincerely,

A week into migrating from QBD to QBO and questioning the decision.

Yes, copying a line item from the invoice and pasting it isn't an option, White Haus.

You have to manually select an item from the product list. I suggest sending feedback about the feature that you want to our Product Team.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Click Next to submit feedback.

Your valuable feedback goes to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QuickBooks. You may track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

If you have a customer that has a repeat invoice, save time by copying the entry instead of entering all the info twice. Here's an article for you as a guide: How to duplicate an invoice or an estimate.

Keep in touch with me if you need anything else aside from copying and pasting a line item from the invoice. I'll be right here to help you.

Can you copy & paste a line within an invoice or estimate?

Thanks.  I've sent feedback on this.

On an unrelated note, is there any intention of adding additional customization to forms and acknowledging PO's, Packing Slips and Statements as forms that should have the ability to be customized?

Thanks.

Hello, White Haus.

I know how beneficial adding customization to forms PO's on the packing slip would be beneficial for your business. At this time, there isn't a way to customize the packing slip in QuickBooks Online. The only forms that you can customize are invoices, estimates, and sales receipts. With this, I recommend sending feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in one of the upcoming updates for QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top, then hit  Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Tap Next to submit feedback.

In the meantime, I'd encourage checking our QuickBooks Blog from time to time to stay current with the latest feature available in QBO.

I'll be right here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. I'm just a post away. Have a good one.

Thanks.......

Would love to see this "feedback" jar that must be overflowing.

QBO has been a huge letdown so far, how can Intuit possibly expect people to migrate from Desktop to QBO and not notice that probably 50% of the features are "no longer available"?  Brutal.

This is seriously disgraceful how many things you cannot do. Feedback, feedback, feedback. I don't even think there are real humans responding on here anymore. I have a 400 line estimate to do that's very similar to a previous invoice that somehow the estimate for that job that was converted to invoice vanished. The cloud is awfully and two factor failed all day because servers were down. NO autosave on our accounting but now the forums autosave? This is literally insanity! It is truly time after 10 years of dark money bullying by intuit to move to the smaller startup companies with live humans and actual features that are needed for small business that are so easily implemented but just sit in the feedback cookie jar that the bots tell us is a solution!
