I am a financial professional for more than 30 years though I have no professional credentials.  I am interested in gaining some part time work after my 9 - 5. I presently use Enterprise and manage about 5 companies under one parent including payroll.

I know that credentials can help me get more clients.

My question is which certification would be best since I see there are a number of them from Desktop Certification, Online Certification, Pro Advisor and Accountants Cert.  Any advice which is the correct path to take and the most inexpensive way to get the cert recommended?

I appreciate any feedback.

QB Certified User by Certiport. You don't have to pay annual subscription like ProAdvisor for Desktop.

I'll share some Intuit pages you can view so you can decide on a path you can take for certifications, @Florida Treasury Director Lisa.

For the ProAdvisor program, we have OnlineAdvanced OnlinePayroll, and Desktop. Open this page for additional information: Accountants Training Certification

As for the training about becoming an Intuit Certified QuickBooks User, take a look at this page: QuickBooks Certification. It includes a link that allows you to chat with a training advisor if you need certification for both QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
