Changing or updating customer information in invoice entry

When working on an invoice/estimate and the customer info is wrong.  Is there a way to simply change it on the invoice and then accept the changes?  So far all I have found is to go to the customer tab and fix it there, and restart the invoice again.

Let me provide a few information about changing or updating the customer's information in QuickBooks Online.


QuickBooks Online allows you to edit a transaction once, if you want to change the information to your invoice. You can go to the customer's profile and update the information from there. Let me show you how.

  1. From the Sales tab, select Customers.
  2. Select your customer.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Make any changes, and then click Save.
