Join nowI'm currently using Paypal to invoice and ask for payment from my clients. I plan to switch to direct deposit to eliminate the fee. Is there some sort of paperwork I can give my client that shows my bank information? I don't want to just email them telling them about my switch and attaching my bank information on there. Isn't there a formal type of paperwork I can send them?

@Anonymous I'm not sure where you get your pictures from to illustrate QBO, but mine looks nothing like what you post. :)
@aafable I have attached a paper that we use for some of our customers and vendors informing them of how they can pay. You could send them this document first and then when they decide how they would like or would be best for them, then you could send your bank info. I think that would be safer for you. :)
Hey @aafable,
Totally understand where you are coming from. Yes, there's a formal authorization form (see Steps 2 and 3) you need to send to your customers as part of the setup process. This article provides detailed instructions and visuals showing the link to the form.
If you want to give your client's a heads up a month or so before you make the switch, you can send them all a batch email from QuickBooks - that way they have some immediate context.
@aafable You could either use the template and email format that @Anonymous mentioned or you can just use a formal Word document to send. We have several vendors that send us their ACH/Bank info for us to set up the payments to send them. Either way, they are going to see and have your bank info if that's how you want to set up the payments. :)
The thing is, I don't have a QB online company or QB accountant. I would just like to send them a Word Document to them. Do you know where I can find a template?
Hello @aafable,
No worries, I don't have the template on hand, but you can easily find the pdf form in a Google Search. QuickBooks has a few articles explaining the importance of using the form for compliance but the form itself is accessible in-product.
It's really important you follow PCI standards, be safe!

@jessbru99568, haha, this an animation mock-up from one of the older versions :).
I wasn't able to access the current in-product page last night but, still wanted to give @aafable a sense of where is in the process with QBO, though she isn't a user.
Thank you very much! This is exactly what I was looking for!
@aafable You are very welcome!! :)
