How can i customize labels in QuickBooks Enterprise

I have created inventory items but need to print out the labels for the items. Essentially, every label should include a barcode, description, and part number.

Thank you for dropping by here in the Community. I'm here to help you with any questions you may have with printing labels in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

You can only add the inventory item name, description, and barcode number when printing labels in the QuickBooks program. Adding part numbers is currently unavailable.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select Print Forms.
  3. Click Labels.
  4. Select Item Barcodes.
  5. Below Sort labels by, enable Include item description.
  6. Choose Item Barcodes.
  7. Add the item.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Preview.
  10. Click Print.

I am trying to do the same thing but it will not print all of my items, for instance, I selected 31 items to print and it printed 3. Please help!

Let’s configure the Select Labels to Print window so all items are printed on the labels. I’ll walk you through the process.

 

  1. Hit the File menu at the top and click the Print Forms option to select Labels.
  2. In the Select Labels to Print window, tick the radio-button for Item Barcodes and mark the box for Include item description.label.png
  3. Click OK and Print.

If you get the same result, run the QuickBooks Print & Print Repair Tool. This utility can help resolve common errors.


Here's how:

 

  1. Make sure to close your QuickBooks.
  2. Then, download the latest version for the QuickBooks Tools Hub (1.4.0.0).
  3. Click the Save File button to continue.label.1.png
  4. Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Double-click the icon QuickBooks Tool Hub on your Windows desktop to open it.
  6. Next, pick Program Problems to choose QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool.

After running the utility, print the labels again. If the issue persists, continue performing Solutions 2-4 in this article: Troubleshoot PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.
