How to import Quickbooks .qbw file(mac) to quickbooks desktop for windows?

I have a .qbw file which is may be of mac/online version exported. But I want to import it on QuickBooks desktop (windows). But it shows that " QuickBooks cant open the company file because the file is a QuickBooks mac or QuickBooks online edition exported". so what can I do to import this file into my windows QuickBooks desktop version? I have attached the screenshot of this problem.

How did you create the .qbw file? Mac desktop does not use that extension, other than when converting a file from mac to PC, and then it is a PC version.

Export from QBO to desktop files and conversion to working .qbw must be performed on a device with current licensed desktop to begin with. As long as this file was successfully opened by the creator then it should be able to be opened by any same year or newer edition of QBDT.  Keep in mind that QBO does not directly export a .qbw for use by desktop. There is a special .qbw for developers that can be exported if one does not use the proper IE11 login procedure but that file is useless to the general public.

Ask the person who initially downloaded and converted their online file to desktop to provide you with a .qbb backup for windows and restore from that
