How to reset/manage the quickbooks web connector schedule?

I have three connections through the web connector for bringing marketplace orders into quickbooks.  I have to schedule them to run throughout the day and not collide with another app that builds assemblies.  I can see how to set the #minutes between each run, but can find now way to tell Web connector to start them at 8am in the morning for example. Worse yet, the web connector seems to randomly reset its next run.  

 

How does one manage the quickbooks web connector schedule? 

 

We are running enterprise platinum V20.0.

I'm here to share some information about how QuickBooksWeb Connector works.

 

With QB Web Connector, you can use the Auto-Run feature so that the applications integrate with your QuickBooks Desktop account launch automatically on a recurring basis. To do this, checkmark the box in the Auto-Run column next to the name of the appIn the Every_Min column, key in how often you want the sync to run.

 

However, we're unable to set up a specific schedule as to when the applications will run. Once you tick this feature, the applications will automatically launch upon opening the QuickBooks Web Connector.

 

To ensure that your apps won't collide with each other, you'll want to consider turning the Auto-Run option off. Then, select the checkbox to the left of the application and click the Update Selected button on the top of the window to manually run the app. This gives you more control over the interval of the syncing.

 

Although, I definitely understand how convenient to have an option that can set specific schedules for your web applications. Rest assured, we're taking note of your ideas and suggestions to improve your QuickBooks experience.

How to reset/manage the quickbooks web connector schedule?

Every so often the web connector resets its next run time.  Can you tell me what causes this to occur? At least if I knew this I could force it to reset and come in line with some reasonable times. 

 

BTW, when I went  to my support last week on this issue, the tech was adamant there is a scheduler function in the web connector File pull down menu.  When I told him there certainly isn't and never has been, he said I should reinstall QB, but could not guarantee this issue would resolve.  For a company who relies on this software for day to day operations with multiple users, and who carefully integrate with other software, upgrading is not so easy and shouldn't be the go-to answer.

When your web connector runs, are you receiving any errors? This would help me decipher what is going on. Can you also share what version of the web connector you are running?

How to reset/manage the quickbooks web connector schedule?

I receive no errors, the web connector works for the most part. I am trying to determine the right pattern (close and reopen QB or close and reopen web connector) so that I can manipulate the next run as shown by the arrows below.  I realize that is dependent on the Every-Min setting so is dependent on the 'last run'. If I could figure out how to get the web connector to reset the last run time, then at least i would have a path.  BTW using update selected does not consistently change the last run time.  Every so often it might, but it is not predictable or repeatable.

I understand how beneficial being able to manage QuickBooks web connector schedule. As mentioned, setting up a specific schedule as to when the applications will run isn't possible. Once you use this feature, this will automatically launch.

How to reset/manage the quickbooks web connector schedule?

Can you not explain when the web connector resets the synch time?  That's all I'm asking.  There has to be some method by which it determines to reset.  There are times when I launch that it resets (on a connection basis) and times when I launch where it picks up and uses the last run time over again.  There's got to be some way this is determined and it's all I'm asking.
