i have QB online. is there a backup feature? I need to restore my books from before 6/23/2024

Thanks for reaching out, Chris. The backup and restore feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is only available in the Advanced version.

If you’re currently using QBO Advanced and had the backup feature enabled prior to June 23, 2024, you can restore your books to their state before that specific date.

Here's how:
 

1. Go to Settings and click Back up company.
2. Select Restore, then choose Create Restore.
3. Pick the Date and Time you want to restore.
4. Click Next and review the instructions.
5. Check the box to confirm that restoring will overwrite your company data.
6. Click Start Restore.

If you're not using QBO Advanced or the feature wasn't activated before June 23, 2024, there wouldn’t be a way to restore your company file from that point in time, as historical backups wouldn’t have been created.
