Inventory Assembly

I am creating an inventory assembly item from other inventory parts.  I do not see where I can add a retail price for this item after I built it.  I do not see the item listed in the Price Level List where I normally add the retail pricing.  I also tried Add/Edit multiple lists to see if I could add the retail price there and it does not give that as an option in the column set up.  Please help direct me so that I can get retail pricing added.

Note:  The pricing reflected on the item is our net price (for standard customers in the industry).  We also set up retail pricing for non-standard customers who shop with us for retail needs.

Inventory Assembly

Hello, melainag.

I'll lay down the steps so you can set up a retail price for your assembly item.

I take it that you set up your retail price to a fixed percentage. When setting up the price level for the assembly item, you'll want to ensure it is set as Per Item type.

In addition, editing an existing price level setting won't let you change the type. So, you'll want to create a new one specific to the assembly item.

Here's how:

  1. Click the List menu again, then select Price Level List.
  2. Click the Price Level button, then hit New.
  3. Enter a price level name, then select Per Item for the Price Level Type.
  4. Check the assembly item, then set the pricing parameters.
  5. Once done, click OK

Also, ensure you have a set sales price for the assembly item to calculate the pricing level properly:

  1. On the List menu, select Item List.
  2. Find and open the assembly item.
  3. Enter your standard sales price under the Sales Price field.
  4. Click OK
