Hello everyone. I am about to start a concession/home food business and would like to use qb to help me keep track of things. I don't have my credit/debit card reader yet so until then customers will pay cash until it arrives. How can I log my cash transactions and how can I file my self employed taxes at the end of this year? I just need guidance with this as I don't want to make any mistakes. Thanks so much in advance.

Hello Emily! Yes, she did. I appreciate you replying as well. I also want to ask if QB
keeps up with my final income at the end of the year and how am I able to file and claim credits? I'm sorry if I am asking too much or not making any sense but this is my first time working for myself and I want to make sure I am doing everything right. Thanks so much again.
@nygie, I'm so glad :smileyhappy:
Please keep the questions coming. We all work for ourselves here, and we totally get it - actually running a business often requires an entirely new skill set from what inspired us to start our own business in the first place! There are no lame questions here.
Your best bet is to start a new discussion with your file/claim credits question, including a new headline so other QB Community members will know what to expect. Try to include as much relevant detail as you can to ensure some swift, accurate responses.
Also, I have a couple questions for you! What's your new venture and what inspired you to strike out on your own?
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I feel better knowing you're willing to help. Right now I recently had a baby and have witnessed bad things happen to my son years ago throughout many different daycares. I don't want my new baby to go through the pain and trauma so I decided to sell food and maybe add giftcards and electronics later on. I am hoping to get things right.:smileyhappy:
