At QuickBooks, ensuring your data security is our top concern, we have enhanced our security requirements for protecting your data starting December 18, 2019. Prior to us rolling out these enhancements, we have reached out to third-party app developers and asked them to align with our new security requirements. At this time, some apps may not be fully compliant with our new security requirements.
As a result, beginning on February 11, 2020, ALL apps which are not fully compliant with our requirements will no longer connect or sync with your QuickBooks Online company.
You are able to login to your QuickBooks Online company and navigate to the My Apps tab, under the Apps page to ensure any other apps you may use are not impacted. You will be able to review any new details and next steps on the top of the screen.
NOTE: If no apps are listed in the message box on your My Apps page, the apps you are using are currently compliant.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Please contact the developer of the app to understand where they are in supporting the latest QuickBooks security requirements.

So, we just started using QB with Shop Boss so we can get a handle on it before the new year. This helps nothing on our end. When is this going to be completed?

If you were routed here by non-quickbooks software that you are paying for, that software vendor is the responsible party who you need to speak with.
The vendors were notified and QB has a lot of material to help with the update. I personally worked to migrate our whole client base and it only took a few days.
How do we now transfer our invoices from ATLAS, when we have VAT returns to complete? Why were we not notified that ATLAS was on your list of no longer transferring data into QB, its been used for over 2 years this way. So what has gone wrong ?

QuickBooks values your data security. With this, I'd suggest contacting the ATLAS dedicated support team to verify if they still support the QBO integration process. From there, they can assist you on how to transfer your invoices from ATLAS to the program.
Once transferred, run the four reports below before you submit the VAT return. This ensures your tax figures are accurate.

This is very frustrating! What a waste of time to have to manually import my invoices while these companies work things out. This is a huge waste of time for a small business owner and there's no telling how long this will go on. There should be a grace period to allow us to continue to function for several more weeks until everyone can meet the new standards. No consideration for the end user experience, which matters the most. Disappointed : (
Thank you for following the thread about the New Third-Party App Security Requirements. All App developers were given notice of these changes well in advance, allowing them plenty of time to prepare.
I would encourage you to reach out to the developer of the app and inquire about when they’ll be making an update to comply with the new changes.

Fine. Blame whoever you'd like. I pay both companies for their services. And the point remains. I'm the small business owner with limited time and I'm the one who's stuck having to manually import invoices regardless of "how much notice as given" to the third party companies.
Also using QBO with Shop Boss. Looks like Shop Boss is switching to a third party for integration and charging an additional fee. QBO integration is one of the reasons we chose Shop Boss. We'll be reaching out to them, suggest you do the same.
thank you. The APP we are integrating is ShopBoss Pro. We have entered an account with APINation, as per ShopBoss Pro. We hope to have all the bugs worked out. I don't like not having control of the integration process like I did before. I have never heard of ATLAS.
No prior notice about this from Quickbooks is quite alarming and unprofessional.
Thanks - that's not my understanding. But, was there any notice or message given on Quickbooks to your customers? We have been blind-sided by this, thankfully, we are slow right now. Currently I am working with API Nation, but there are bugs.

There was not an email that was sent out about the update with third-party apps security requirements to our customers, but we did notify the developers of the third-party apps. The only notice that was given to our customers was through the Community. This update enhanced our security for protecting your data. If you'd like more information and details on the connection, please reach out to the third-party app to see how they're working with QuickBooks.

Regardless of how long ago QB interacted with their vendors and how many notifications were sent out to the vendors the point still remains that we, the small business owners, are stuck without fully functional integrations and most of us didn't know a thing about it until we tried to use the feature. I don't really care who's responsibility it 'should' be to make this work or to notify us, the paying customer, we're without fully functional systems that we pay for. This very much impacts the bottom line, timelines, functionality and many other things. Security is very important no doubt, but this whole thing was handled poorly and I for one and disappointed in this. I don't know for how long I'm going to have to manually import invoices using a CSV file- which I don't have the time to do.
has anyone figured out how to get an update from Devart fortheir excel add-in? have they even released one? i see an update on Dec 11 but that doesn't seem to resolve this issue.
We're trying to get development support on this and have not been able to get in contact with anyone. Is there a way to speak to someone to get support on this issue or even an email address?
