Pre-authorize credits cards for an auction using Go Payment

Hi there, GlennSHACC.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Let me share some details about the pre-authorization process in QuickBooks Online.

Currently, having the ability to pre-authorize credit cards is not an option for us. However,  you can do it by phone instead, through voice authorization so you can complete the transaction and receive the funds.

To do that:

  1. Contact the appropriate Authorization Center.
  2. Provide the following information:
  • Your merchant account number.
  • Credit card number.
  • Card expiration date.
  • Purchase amount.

        3. You will be given an authorization code. Write this number down.

For more information about this procedure, please refer to this article:

Also, I'd suggest sending our product developers a feedback so they'll be able to know on how we can improve your QuickBooks Online experience. Just click on the Gear icon and select Send Feedback Online.

That should keep you moving today, CarlyL.

Let me know if you have further questions. I'm always here to help. Enjoy your day!
