Private memo (note) section for estimate (Quickbooks Mac 2021)?

Hello, I see there is a memo field when I enter an Estimate.

Question, I'm looking for a notes section to put notes for each specific estimate (that is private and only available to me.  Is that what the memo section does?

(I see that it doesn't print / save to pdf, which is great.  I need it to stay with the individual estimate vs following the client).

thanks.

Thanks for including the screenshot, @Alchemic.

Yes, you can use the Memo field as a notes section for your estimate. Also, your customer can't see the information, you've entered into this field and it doesn't include when you print and save it to PDF.

The memo field is a convenient feature in QuickBooks transactions. This used to be visible when creating either an invoice or an estimate. It was a great way of annotating invoices & estimates with a description of what it was for.

In case you need help in creating estimates, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Customers, then select Create Estimates.
  2. On the Customer: Job dropdown, select a customer or customer job. If the customer or job is not on the list, you can select Add New.
  3. Enter the Date and Estimate number.
  4. In the detail area, select the item(s) you propose to do or include as a sale.
  5. Note: When you select or add an item, the description and amount are automatically populated based on the description and cost entered when the item was set up. You can delete or modify this when creating estimates.
  6. Hit Save.

Private memo (note) section for estimate (Quickbooks Mac 2021)?

Thank you.  I LOVE this feature as it gives me notes for a estimate that I'm working with a customer (like where I'm sourcing the materials, special version numbers, etc...).

Great addition!  I know there is a similar feature in the pc desktop version but this is actually better.

Very happy with the mac version 2021 of QB!
