mine me would be a better relationship between QBO and PayPal...right now, it is so cumbersome to import/reconcile.

Only one????  **bleep**.

An accurate download to desktop of the company file WITH a desktop app to view the file in its original format.  A restore from the desktop download would be icing on the cake.

BLEEP???  this format is bad enough IMO, now you are censoring too?  ROFLMAO wonder if acronyms are allowed

Have you tried the Sync with Paypal App? I used to spend hours manually entering Paypal transactions for 3 desktop company files. It was painful the time it took me to reconcile each month. Then last month I converted all 3 desktop files to QBO and connected the free "sync with PayPal" app. I love this app. It automatically imports the transactions and the fees associated with the associted paypal account. Now what used to take me a few hours a month to reconcile Paypal takes about 20 minutes or so. And there is no more manual entries I have to do. The Paypal account shows up in the dashboard and I just click on it to view the register.

If anyone on QBO is looking to try this app, I recommend you first create a QBO trial account and connect the snyc with paypal app. That way if you don't like it you will not have messed with your real company file. Testing on a trial account will let you test it first before you jump all in.

Ah, PayPal or as I call it PayPal he'll. Tried the app, tried the bank feed method. None are perfect. I have PayPal clients with 9-18!pages of transactions. No rhyme or reason but there are always random transactions missing. With the app, you cannot tell it what expense to go to if you want customer details. It's customer details or vendor details not both. It takes me 2-3 hours to reconcile these. Frustrating!

Ok, yes I have had some missing transactions that did not sync. It is not perfect but for me it is much better system that I had before I switched.

Aww, cmon Rustler. I know you love QBO. Lol. Actually, I have had much better success with conversions from QBO to desktop recently. Although, the 2 files I did were not complex. Have you found that files are not converting well? In the past, they were a disaster. But I think they are better.

I can add to my one thing (which would be two), I'd love a way to backup my data.

I love the idea of this topic.  Working here, I get to see how the users of QuickBooks shape every idea.  It's impossible to make every change that any single person suggests, but no one can truly understand a platform better than the people who interact with it as a tool.  If this gets traction, I will be happy to show the discussion off.

I would make the process of exporting from QBO to Excel easier so that transactions appear with the right 'sign' i.e. debits appear as debits and credits appear as credits. When I've reconciled and want to export the transaction detail by account report into Excel it seems that all entries to liabilities and income accounts reverse the sign so that debits show up as credits and vice versa. Could be a support issue perhaps... or:

Making bank feeds work automatically for business/other accounts that have a security token attached. Currently this needs to be refreshed periodically instead of just flowing through daily

Interesting, I was not aware that the reason I had to hit the update button had to do with a bank that requires a token.

Keeping the bank feeds updated, It's part of my daily routine. Going into each and every client & updating their banking.   Also I'm making sure that they're still working. On a side note, I have a client that had a bank feed that completely stopped working (suncoast credit union).  Clicking update did not fix it. I had to contact qb  support and they had to do something on their end. So it does happen.

If I can only say one thing, I would say change back to the original look of having direct and quick access to customer and vendor pages, etc.. Still trying to get used to every tab being moved around.

I know!  I would love to know the reasoning behind that change!   More clicks = more time trying to get to the customer or vendor page.  Plain and simple, it was a dumb change.

Lynda, that is the issue in a nut shell, wes a disaster and now is better - but still not accurate for more than a very basic company file.

I want the file to export to desktop as an audit trail back up, for the time period following the user canceling the QBO account.  Intuit has failed in its fiduciary reponsibility in this aspect.

To be able to upload and replace the current QBO file would be perfect, icing on the cake as I said.

I love that idea, Rustler.   From what I found, when most users cancel their account, they have no clue what's going to happen with it.  That would be a great solution to people who don't want to stay in the online program.

I'd like to see a way for Intuit to provide online users with a year-end file.   Something that would be acceptable to the IRS if there was an audit.

I would like to see QB Online provide NV Sales Tax information in an easy to use format. It was available in my Desktop 2008 version, seems like a simple update to me?

I think we'd all like to see the sales text feature in QB oh designed a little better than it is. Especially on conversion when they create new accounts in your chart of accounts.

QBO integration with paypal. So many small businesses use paypal and it is just a headache. I think the paypal sycn app should be their number one priorrity and the more paypal transactions there are, the bigger the mess. I would really like to see QBO fix this issue.

When importing bank and credit card transactions, I would like to be able to (on the review screen) be able to assign item/customer/project to the expense.
