Yes, it would be similar to a "signature block" you would find on Docusign or Echosign. Currently, we download the invoice and upload to adobe echosign for signature. It would be nice to send out an estimate and have the customer e-sign right on the spot!! We are doing too many unnecessary steps in my opinion!

Out of curiosity, why are you interested in getting a customer signature for an estimate? I totally understand the need for sales receipts, but since the status of an estimate is always in flux, would the signature just be for verification /acknowledgement or do you see it as a semi-agreement?
In the construction industry, we send out "change orders", in the form of estimates for the client or builder to sign off. Right now, we download the estimate/change order, then upload to 3rd party software for e-signature, once it is signed we create an invoice from that estimate.
If QB online had this feature, we would send the change order/estimate directly to the customer for signature, then the client can e-sign and the system will return a signed estimate that can be converted to an invoice.
It would really help our process and save a ton of time. I am sure anyone on the construction industry using QB will be really happy if you added this feature!
I’m a plumbing contractor and all the time I send my estimates out to clients, whether they are homeowners or contractors and I need signatures before I perform work. It would be amazing if they could open up the email on their phone, click a link, and sign it exactly how they can on my phone. The problem is I’m never with them when they get the estimate. It’s nice that they can sign on my phone, but not super practical with most of my estimates. I need someway for them to sign without us together. Thanks!!!
In the state of Utah, you have to have a signature for any work performed over $300. So if I give them an estimate for $1,000 and then do the work without a signature, they can argue that they didn’t know the price. It just makes collecting payment easier and safer, and it’s legally required in Utah. Thanks!!
That's a great use-case for a signature feature, thank you. So, it's not necessarily a matter of getting the signature in real-time, but the ability to send estimates securely over the web so the customer can sign before you start work, that would be most helpful to your operation?
Thanks! However, for $40-50/mo we should be able to at least get a signature on an estimate- Don't you think? Pretty basic.
We use 3rd party Apps, but we should not have to for this feature at least.
