QB Desktop 2020 for Mac Email Issues

I can't get QB to send emails using a gmail account or send emails using Outlook for Mac.

When I try to send using my gmail account I get an error saying QB can't establish a stable connection. I've tried setting up an app-specific password, but still the same issue.

When I try to send using Outlook for Mac, QB says it can't communicate with my email program.

QB Desktop 2020 for Mac Email Issues

Facing Mac email sending issues on QuickBooks Desktop is a common phenomenon and the problem can be fixed with some careful attention to the answer. There might be an issue with the email preference & it might not be set correctly. Make sure that the QB Desktop is installed correctly in the MAC  system for easy sending/receiving of emails.

Check whether the domain admin is blocked or not? If blocked, then there will be an issue in sending QB emails. Here are the steps to check the settings in the webmail preferences –

  1. Click on ‘Edit’ in the top menu bar.
  2. Now choose ‘Preferences’ and then click ‘Send Forms’ on the left side.
  3. Select the email account used under ‘My Preferences’ and click ‘Edit.
  4. Now mark on the ‘SSL’ box and then select ‘Default’.
  5. Make sure that the server name matches the email provider’s settings in the ‘Server Name’ field.

It needs to be ensured that the QuickBooks for Mac is installed the right way. Once the product suite is installed correctly, you will be able to send emails effectively.
