I can help you sort this out, @kimondor.

You'll need to make that the latest version of POS is updated to the latest version. Doing this will make sure that you're able to download critical product updates that can fix the delayed dates of your invoices. Let me show you how.

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Hover over Software Update.
  3. Select Updater Preference.
  4. Choose the General tab.
  5. Click Automatically download updates.
    1. You can also select Notify me so you can decide if you want new updates when they're available.
  6. When you're done, select OK.

Then, close QuickBooks to ensure that all components are updated. You can read through this article for more detailed instructions: Update Quickbooks Point of Sale.

Once done, try to correct the invoice date again.

However, if the issue persists, I'd suggest repairing your QuickBooks Point of Sale. This helps resolve unexpected errors while using POS.

Before doing the process, make sure the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale is not running. To repair an existing installation, follow the steps provided:

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows + E to open the Computer window.
  2. Note: In Windows 10, 8.1, and 8, click the Computer tab.
  3. Click Uninstall or change a program.
  4. Choose your version of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and click Uninstall/Change.
  5. In the Point of Sale Installation window, click Next and select the Repair radio button.
  6. Click Next again and click Repair.
  7. Hit Finish

Thanks for timely feedback. Unfortunately I did a fresh reinstallation of quickbooks desktop 15 and updated but still the invoices are backdating.

Thanks for getting back to us, @kimondor

Since the issue persists after following the steps shared by my colleague above, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They have tools such as screen-sharing (remove access) that pull up and check your account in a secure environment. They can also perform other troubleshooting steps if necessary.

Refer to this article and proceed to the QB POS section to get their more updated contact information: Contact Payments or Point of Sale Support.
