My client has recently started doing trade shows and wants to track everything by show. I set up a custom field and tags for each trade show but I can't figure out how to get an A/R report? should I be using classes instead?

Thanks for following up @Wendi. Are you not seeing any option to customize in the A/R report? Try this:

  1. From the Reports menu, select Reports.
  2. Locate the Accounts Receivable Aging Detail report.
  3. Click the vertical ellipsis (see screenshot).
  4. Select the fields that you would like to include.Pasted Graphic 1.png

Let me know how it goes, or if you are not seeing this option. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello @Wendi! Happy Friday, we made it!

Your custom fields should definitely show up in your A/R report. You may just need to adjust the filter. I'm happy to walk you through how to do that.

  1. Go to Reports on the left menu and run the Accounts Receivable Aging Detail report.
  2. Go to the Gear Icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. You may need to click on Show More under Change Columns.
  4. Select the box next to the Custom Fields you want to be included.
  5. Click on the top of the report to exit that window.

I'll also include this article that explains in detail how to run reports with Custom Fields: Use custom fields in reports in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

If you do have any other questions or guidance, please don't hesitate to reply to this post. :)

The A/R report doesn't seem to have those options?
