Join nowI want to do things like download reports from eBay, process them, and then add that data to new or existing transactions in QuickBooks. I'm using eBay just as one example. Amazon is another source of a lot of transactions that has details that I'd like to stuff into QB. And there are others.
Of course, I'd like to keep things simple if possible. I think QB has an SDK and a developers program which I could do but I'm hoping there may be simpler alternatives.
So, the first question is, out of the box, without any add-ons, what types of files can QB parse? Can it parse CSV files? OFX files? etc. I know some banks offer the ability to download the transactions into a "QB Compatible" file but I've never peaked under the hood to see what is going on.

It's important to keep in mind that you can only import files with less than 1,000 rows at a time; however, you can upload multiple files. If you find that you have a file that's too large on the first go, you can simply split it into smaller files and import them separately.
It's also recommended to upload data in a particular order:
When you're prepared to import data, you can do so from your account settings:
If you'd like to upload from Google Sheets, choose Connect to sign in to your Google account and follow the rest of the presented steps.
I've also included a few detailed resources about importing these types of files which may come in handy moving forward:

The files you can accept depend on your bank account. With that said, other accounts like eBay MasterCard have no connection to QBO. You can submit a request to add it to our supported account list. Here’s how:
