Work Order and Invoice after work is executed.

We are manufacturers and therefore entering invoices at a sale is inconvenient as the work order had to be entered and then worked upon.

We would like to track the outstanding work orders and convert them to invoices.

Using estimates is not good, as estimates survive the conversion to an invoice.

Any Suggestions?

That is all there is in QB.

Keep in mind QB is accounting, it is not shop management though it can help in that aspect to some degree

Hey @drndpatel,

Welcome to the community. You can find tons of great resources and tutorials on QuickBooks Desktop on YouTube. Just search QuickBooks Desktop and you're on your way!

There are also lots of overview videos about QBO available on official QuickBooks Website that will give you an idea of what Rustler is talking about - QuickBooks is mainly accounting software with shop management capabilities, but shop management is not the primary purpose (QBO and QB Desktop are very different programs, but this will give you an idea).

I hope this helps!
