Getting unrecoverable error when download and apply payroll updates. Was able to do 1 month ago with no problem. I was on phone with support for 5 hours and have gotten nowhere. We reinstalled enterprise desktop, rebuild data files, downloaded and run QB diagnostic tool. they then send me support document that says make sure windows updates(10) was current. I also manually repaired .net files and reinstalled C++. AT this point they have no suggestions except to get another internet connection.

I found another problem after I published this . I discovered when I ran my 941 for the quarter that I am missing most of my payroll for the month of July. In trying to figure what was up I went in to edit paychecks so I could view data. I discovered almost all of the records did not have an employee assigned to it. It seems that may be the problem. I am not sure when that data was corrupted but I am speculating that it may have occurred when we reconciled the payroll account a few week back. I am going to check in the morning to see if in prior backup the data is ok. Does this sound feasible? And do you know of anything like this ?I appreciate any input
