Join nowI have 2019 Desktop Pro with payroll. The payroll was renewed in October for over $500. Now QB is telling me I'm going to lose that unless I pay them more money. They SAY things will stop working 5/31/2022, which I believe has not come yet. However, I just tried to run payroll for 1st qtr 2022 and it's not calculating any taxes or letting me create a 941 (which is due Monday and their help desk is closed over the weekend).

Hello, Brad.
I'll lay down a couple of solutions to help you fix the tax calculation issues when running payroll and 941 form.
It looks like a sync issue between QuickBooks and our payroll system. We can refresh and fix this by logging out and logging back in on the Account Maintenance page. Here's how to do it:
Normally, a prompt will appear that'll let us update the payroll tax table. We can proceed to update it (which can also fix the tax calculation and 941 issues).
If not, we can manually update it by going to the Employees menu, then selecting Get Payroll Updates.
If we still can't see any proper tax calculations on paychecks or if we can't create the 941 form, we can revalidate the service key to fix this:
Run payroll again and check the tax calculations and check your 941 form.

As you've noticed on the message prompt, we have discontinued the 2019 versions and all add-ons services won't be supported (including payroll). We can still use your QuickBooks Desktop data but we won't be able to use the payroll services.
We recommend upgrading to the latest version as soon as possible if you need to continue using the payroll services (the payroll service will automatically carry over to the new version). This article will show us the steps: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise.
If you'd like to see the payroll totals from your employees, we can run a payroll summary report. This article will help us how to pull it up: Create a payroll summary report.
I'd like to work with you again if you have more questions about running payroll. If you have concerns about your data or how to record specific transactions, let me know and I'll help in any way I can.
1. I have too too many logins for Intuit. I have QB Desktop but also a QBO account. When it's asking me to log in I'm having issues.
2. I got logged in the way I think I want (desktop login) and ran payroll update. I keep getting message "You've retrieved the latest payroll update and validated your Payroll subscription. We strongly recommend that you go online again before 3/16/2022". Today is 4/30.
3. I go to payroll center and try to create 941. Get message Payroll has not been updated for 75 days. blah blah. disabled. blah blah QB will not calculate taxes on paychecks, and you cannot create payroll tax forms.
4. I attempted to do what you said here. I did payroll setup and had to make a lot of manual adjustments but it was telling me what it should be so that's an improvement. However, I still can't create a 941.

You need to purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 or the subscription license for QBD 2022 to integrate with QB Payroll after May 31, 2022.
