Dear Intuit Customer Service ,

 

Today, I accidentally changed our Quickbooks Online payroll subscription from "Enhanced" to "Full Service".  I want to undo this change.  That is, I want to change our payroll subscription back to "Enhanced".  I have tried without success to use the Quickbooks Online web interface to make this change.  I have called the Quickbooks Online Payroll customer service phone number, spoke with a representative, and put my request to her, but still I do not think that the change has been made.  This forum post constitutes my third and final attempt to downgrade to the "Enhanced" QBO payroll service.  If you charge my credit card for the increased price of the "Full Service" version of the Quickbooks Online Payroll service, I will instruct my bank to dispute the charges.  Please downgrade me to the "Enhanced" QBO payroll service.  Please send me an email to let me know that this has been done.  Thank you.

When you contacted our Payroll Support Team, they should be able to change your subscription while you're still in the line. Before we check your subscription in QuickBooks Online, we can do a browser troubleshooting. Cache helps your browser's background processes run smoothly. However, it can also cause unexpected results when piled up. Here's how to get rid of any cache-related concerns:

  1. Open a private browser and log in to your QBO account. It uses but doesn't store cache.
  2. If you can see that your subscription has been updated successfully, we can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.
  3. Other supported browsers are good alternatives, too. Each of them uses a different cache.

If you still have the Full-Service Payroll subscription, then the request you've made earlier was not yet processed. I'd recommend reaching out to the support team again. You can reach them through phone or chat: Contact Payroll Support.

I have tried clearing the cache and using a variety of different browsers, as you suggested, without success.  My Payroll subscription has not yet been downgraded.  Neither phone nor chat is a viable way for me to reach the Payroll Support Team because I am on duty at my day job during the Payroll Support Team's office hours.  Please forward this message to the Payroll Support Team, and ask them to change my QBO payroll subscription back to "Enhanced".  Thank you.

You'll need to reach our Customer Support to help you in downgrading your subscription from the Help menu in your account. From here, you'll need to provide your account's information so they can assist you further in a safe environment. They're available from Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PST).

 

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent. 
  2. Provide us some information about your concern.
  3. Select the Contact Us button and provide some details about this concern, then on the  Let's talk button. 
  4. You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.
