Box 1 Amount

When clicking on the W-2 tab of Inuit ViewMyPaycheck, it states that "We need more details to deliver your W-2:", but on Box 1 Amount it does not specify what needs to be placed there. What do I need to put in "Box 1 Amount?"

Re: Box 1 Amount

Hey there, charlee-1342.

I'm here to provide you with some information about the Box 1 field in W2.

Box 1 in W2 reports your total taxable wages for federal income tax. This figure includes your wages, salary, tips you reported, bonuses, and other taxable compensation. Any taxable fringe benefits (such as group term life insurance) are also included in your Box 1 wages.

You can get more details about the Taxability of pay types and deductions on how they affect this box. If you need to review the wages and deductions paid to the employee, here's how:

  1. Select Reports and search for the Payroll Details Report.
  2. Filter by year and the Employee, then select Run Report.
  3. Review the wages and deductions paid to the employee.

If you need to discuss sensitive information, you may want to call in to speak with an agent so they can help you review the report.
