Business Sale

We just sold the business 10/2020, if I discontinue the auto payroll updates, will I still be able to access the 940, W-2, W-3 for 2020 when forms are available? Thank you.

Business Sale

Hi @mvtwins

Congratulations on the sale of your business! I hope you get to take some time and enjoy yourself. Payroll updates are really important, especially at year-end. Tax tables and forms are updated frequently by the IRS and state entities and having the most current forms and data is critical for accurate filing.  You have a couple of options for payroll updates:

  1. Keep payroll updates on until you complete your year-end filings and then discontinue service.
  2. Discontinue payroll updates now, and then get a monthly subscription in January to update and have access to the most current year-end forms and tax tables

Thanks so much for posting your question in the Community! If you have additional questions about payroll updates or year-end filings, I am just a click away.
