Great to see you here in the Community, @mountain_shadows

Right now, there isn't currently a way to change the Description field on the For Review tab. As an alternative, you can enter details on the Memo field to show up in the bank register. You can check out the screenshot below for your reference.

For your future tasks, you can match and categorize the transactions against the entries in the program. For more information about this, please see this article: Assign, Categorize, Edit, and Add Your Downloaded Banking Transactions

I’m just a comment away if you need anything else. Have a good day.

Re: Can I change the Description field when in For Review? Thank you for your reply. This is a real problem for me. I have just switched to QB Online and when the program imported information from the bank, many of the entries for checks say "Paid Br" instead of the check number. I am trying to review and add everything, and this is making it so much more difficult The QB I have been using is very old and info cannot be imported from it. This issue seems like something that should be doable, and I can't believe I am the only one who needs to be able to change the Description firld. Thank you for answering. Best, Casey

Hello, @mountain_shadows.

Let me share additional information on how your downloaded bank transactions are handled in QuickBooks.

When your bank is connected with QuickBooks, it automatically downloads and categorizes your bank and credit card transactions for you.

Please be advised that the information we receive is dependent upon what your bank or financial institution shares with us. It is a read-only file.

What you can do for now is to log in to your bank's website and compare the downloaded transactions with your bank's statements.
