Can i edit a payroll check to deduct addition fed and state withholdings?

I'm here to help edit payroll check in QuickBooks Online, @usermimiskitchencafe.

 

Editing a paycheck depends on what your payroll processing state is. If it's a manual paycheck, you can delete and recreate this using the additional taxes to be withheld.

 

Here's how to delete paychecks: 

Intuit Online Payroll Enhanced/Intuit Online Payroll for Accountants

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Choose the Paycheck List under Paychecks and Pay stubs,
  3. Change the date range if necessary and then select the paychecks you want to delete.
  4. Click Delete and then choose Ok.

Intuit QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced

  1. Go to the Workers menu then choose Employees.
  2. Select Paycheck List under Run Payroll,
  3. Change the date range if necessary and then choose the paychecks you want to delete.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Mark the checkmark box to confirm the deletion and then choose Delete Paycheck.

Once done, recreate the paycheck. 

 

If this is a Direct deposit and still unprocessed, you also have the option to delete and recreate the paycheck. When it's already processed, I suggest contacting our support team for further assistance.
