Yes, you can print 1099-NEC forms from QuickBooks instead of e-filing. Just go to Vendors -> Print/E-file 1099s, then walk through the wizard until you get to the Choose a Filing Method screen. Pick Print and mail, and QuickBooks will let you print the forms onto your pre-purchased blanks.

Hi Torres. Welcome to the Community—it’s great to see you here! I totally get wanting to use the forms you've already purchased. Yes, you can absolutely print your 1099-NEC forms instead of e-filing—I'll show you how below.

To print your 1099-NEC forms, you'll need to prepare them with QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to My apps, then Expenses & Bills.
  2. Choose 1099s and select Prepare 1099s.

  3. Once complete, click the Print and mail option.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to check alignments and finish the process.

If you encounter errors when printing or you want to access previously filed forms, please consider scanning this material: Print your 1099 and 1096 forms.

Once you've followed the steps, your 1099-NEC forms should be ready to print and use with your pre-purchased forms. If anything’s unclear or you run into issues, feel free to drop another message—I’ve got your back! Have a great rest of your day.

The 1099 wizard doesn't come up   I have used before. All that comes up is the first box, to order forms etc.

Hi there, CandieLL. Thank you for joining this thread! We understand how important it is to access and print your 1099s, and we’re here to help.

To assist you better, could you share more details about the issue you’re experiencing? For example:

  • Are you seeing a blank page when trying to access the 1099 filings?
  • Does the page keep loading without finishing?
  • Are certain features or buttons, like “Prepare 1099s,” missing?

Providing these details will help us identify the issue and provide a solution for you.

Here are some steps you can try to fix common issues, such as the 1099 wizard not loading:

  1. Refresh Your Webpage
    • Click the Refresh button in your browser or press Ctrl + R (Windows) or Command + R (Mac) to reload the page.
  2. Check Your Internet Connection
    • Ensure you have a stable internet connection. A weak or unstable connection can cause QuickBooks Online pages to load incorrectly or slowly.
  3. Log Out and Log Back In
    • Sign out of your QuickBooks account, then log back in. This resets your session and can resolve temporary glitches.
  4. Try Incognito Mode
    • Open QuickBooks Online in Incognito Mode (private browsing mode) to see if the issue is browser-related. Use these shortcuts to activate incognito mode:
      • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
      • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
      • Safari: Command + Option + P
      • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If the issue persist, try switching to another supported browser.

If you’re still experiencing issues after trying these steps, feel free to share more details here. We’ll do our best to assist you. Let us know how it goes!
