Can I still access 2019 QB docs after I cancel my monthly account? My small business has closed, but because I'm still waiting for my 2019 Federal Tax refund I don't want to be without my receipts

Hello, boonebillybagcom.

Thanks for dropping by the Community with your question. As far as accessing your information after you cancel, you will be able to do so for up to 1 year after cancellation. Everything will remain safe and stored on our cloud for that year. If you're looking for the steps to cancel your subscription follow along below.

Cancel on a web browser:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Go to Settings ⚙ beside the help icon.
  3. Select Billing Info, then Cancel subscription. If you change your mind, you can select Keep your subscription.

Cancel on iOS (iPhone or iPad):

  1. Open the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
  2. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  3. Tap the Profile icon, then Settings.
  4. Tap Subscription, then Cancel or manage your subscription here.

I can't get past this page in order to see my info. I stopped the subscription in Oct (I believe) and I'm trying to do taxes for 2020. Thanks

Hi there, Sammypup23.

Once you cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription, you have one year to access your data. However, you're unable to do taxes for 2020. That said, I suggest resubscribing your account to file your tax return.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select the profile icon and then Billing info.
  3. Select View options to see different subscription types, such as the TaxBundle.
  4. Click Subscribe. Then, review your billing and payment info.
  5. Hit Subscribe.

For additional information, you can refer to this article: Resubscribe to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I've also included an article that will help you in preparing your annual taxes: QuickBooks Self-Employed - Annual taxes guide.

Please refer to this article to see information on how QBSE is designed to help you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage, and prepare your Schedule C: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other concerns. I'm always here to help.
