Can't Edit an Employee

All of a sudden I can't edit an employee in Quickbooks Online Advanced. Is anyone else having this problem? Please don't give me instructions on how to do it - I have done it hundreds of times. Today when I click on Edit Employee, nothing happens.

As I've checked, we haven't received any reports from other users similar to your concern. You may have experienced some browser-related issues that's why nothing happens when you tried to edit your employee. I'll share some troubleshooting steps to fix this.

 

Let's start by accessing your account using an incognito window. This mode prevents cache stored on your computer, perfect for resolving some browser issues. Use any of these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you used:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If it works, you can clear the cache to delete the history or log files so you can start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you can use different supported browsers to further isolate.
