There are a couple of steps I'd like to share that can resolve printing issues in QuickBooks.
First, make sure that your QuickBooks is on the latest maintenance release. Follow the steps in this article on how to download and install the update: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
Second, run the reboot.bat file to re-register the QuickBooks-related .DLL and .OCX files in Microsoft Windows. Here's how:
- Close the program.
- Right click the QuickBooks icon on your desktop, and select Properties.
- Click on Open file location.
- Type "reboot.bat" in the search field (at the upper right corner).
- Right click the reboot.bat file and choose Run as Administrator. The file may display as reboot.bat or reboot.
- When the reboot.bat file utility has completed, the window will close.
Once done, re-open QuickBooks and print a sample tax form.
In case you're still getting the same result, let's proceed to repairing QuickBooks. This article will guide you through the process: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
