An accountant's copy may be one of the few reasons why you can't update or send your payroll tax. Usually, QuickBooks displays this as an Accountant's Changes Pending in the title bar. You may need to remove or return the Accountant's copy to QuickBooks Desktop.
Once done, you may attempt to send your paychecks. If the error persists, obtain the qbwin.log to review for errors. For additional troubleshooting steps you can perform, please refer to this guide: Error: QuickBooks has encountered a problem sending your usage data.

It is not an accountants copy. I have never done an accountants copy. I went into the winlog and searched for online payroll and it gave me the message no online payroll. The date is correct. The last time I had this happen a QB Tech had to come onto my computer and fix it. Please contact me so I can get my payroll taxes sent in on time

Let's perform a wild card search for all company files by typing one of the following into the search bar. This process will help you find the most current copy.
Then, follow the steps in this article to open it up: Restore your file.

I am using the most current copy. I will call Monday but my Payroll Taxes will be late by then.
