Can you enter a PO Box for an employee address?

I am unable to save the employee information with a PO Box. I can save if I make up a street address. Otherwise, I have to cancel out.

Yes, you can enter a PO Box address for an employee, Jfun. Let me share some ideas about it for you to make everything in order

 

I tried adding the PO Box information on my end and everything went through seamlessly. Though it works either way, I suggest clicking on the Add lines option from the address section so it will combine the two address lines displayed in that area. Here's how:

 

  1. Open the Payroll menu and click on Employees.
  2. Select the employee's name for an existing employee or click Add an employee if you want to add a new one.
  3. Go to the Address section.
  4. Click on Add lines under Street address 1.
  5. Enter the Po Box details.
  6. Once done, click on Save.

Let me clarify things for you, the option to add a P.O. Box number in the employee's address field is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I recognize how convenient it is for this field to be added to QBO. I recommend letting our Developers be notified of your idea by leaving feedback. They might consider your idea for future product enhancements.

To send your input, here's how:
 

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestions and then click on Next.
