Hi there, kebeane.

Thanks for contacting the Community for support. I can show you how to create a copy of your Desktop data for your accountant to view.

Here's how to make a copy you can use on a USB:

  1. Go to the File menu and hover over Send Company File.
  2. Hover over Accountant's Copy and then hover over Client Activities.
  3. Select Save File and then Next.
  4. Select Accountant's Copy and then Next.
  5. Enter the dividing date. Then select Next.

The following article provides additional details about Creating an Accountant's Copy of your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please feel free to reach back out if you have any other questions. Take care.

My question is whether you can upload my desk top QB to Quick books on line once again for me?..I have been paying for both desktop and online but only using my desk top because our payroll is more complicated with coding than the QB on line offers...Can this happen today??

Thanks for following up with me and providing those additional details, kebeane.

I'd be glad to help out with converting your QuickBooks Desktop data to the Online version.

Before you get started, there are a couple of things to take note of. These include:

  • You can only move a company file within 60 days after signing up to QuickBooks Online.
  • We recommend moving over your lists instead of your company file if you already set up payroll in QuickBooks Online.
  • Some of your lists and reports won't be converted because of feature differences.

When you're ready to begin the conversion, I've got an article for you that offers a step-by-step guide to the process. You can check it out here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/update-products/move-your-quickbooks-desktop-file-....

I'm only a comment away if you have any other questions.
