Our engineers are working hard with Bank of America to resolve the automatic download for Bank Feeds. We know that this can affect your business, and that's why we take these types of issues seriously. I recommend getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support Team so that they can add you to the list of affected users. In doing so, you'll be able to receive email updates from our Team as we find out more about the issue.
In the meantime, you'll need to manually import your transactions to QuickBooks Online from Bank of America using a CSV file. It's super easy to do and only takes a moment. If your bank doesn't support CSV files but offers Quicken (QFX), QuickBooks Online (QBO), or Microsoft Money (OFX), you can try to import your data and then upload more than 90 days of bank transactions through Web Connect.Check it out:
Go to Banking on the left menu.
Choose File upload. If you've never connected an account, you can select Upload transactions manually. You can also start an upload using the Import Data page (Gear, then Import Data).
Hit Browse and choose the file you downloaded from your bank. If you haven't downloaded your CSV file yet, follow the onscreen prompts in the Upload file window to download your transactions and choose the file.
Choose Open, then Next.
In the first drop-down, choose the bank or credit card account and click Next.
Fill out the Date, date format, Description, and Account fields.
Click Next, then tick the checkboxes for the transactions you'd like to import.
Hit Next, then Yes.
Use the Let's go! button when the Import completed notification appears.
Cannot connect to BofA for over 6 weeks. What the heck is going on with this stupid software? QB is no help.
Thanks Michael, this costs our nonprofit business extra money because doing this manually requires a lot more bookkeeping work and also sometimes errors out. The purpose of paying QB so much money is for these simple conveniences that save US money. There is no reason this should not have been fixed after so much downtime. This is one of the primary functions of the software. Other subpar vendors such as Xero and Wave can do this easily without issue whereas QB can't figure out something so central to their core? Doesn't make sense and offering manual workarounds sounds nice, but it costs US more time, money, and is an excuse. Someone needs to step up and get this fixed NOW.
