I keep getting message stating:

If I continue to try it will eventually print.

These are the possible reasons why you're getting the error:


  •  Problem connecting to your current printer, Microsoft XPS writer on XPS port.
  • Could not print to printer.
  • QuickBooks can't complete the action due to missing PDF file component.

Let's run the QuickBooks PDF and Print Repair Tool. This helps fix common printing issues. Here's how:


  1. Download and run the QuickBooks PDF and Print Repair Tool.
  2. Once the tool completes, try the .pdf file related task that first caused the error.
  3. If the error still appears, try rebooting your computer and try again.

Right after, try printing an invoices or checks to see if it works.
