We've been using Online Payroll for the last 10yrs with no issue, but THIS year...over half of our w2's are printing with the APT or UNIT number missing from the first cover page. You know, the one the US Post office uses to deliver the mail correctly. Intuit says there is nothing they can do & told me "all i need to do is to go into each of our 243 employee screens, move the APT # if they have one from Line 2 to Line 1. Simple as that!!!" Not like we pay Intuit monthly or anything. I understand they are a giant company with millions of accounts...which is why i dont expect their software engineers to do stupid things that hurt small business owners.

We can run some basic troubleshooting to isolate the W-2 printing problem. We can start with running QuickBooks in a private browser. From there, you can try printing the form and see if it works.
You can follow these shortcut keys:
Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If this works, you go back to your regular browser (Ctrl + N) and clear the browser's cache. If the problem continues, you can also switch to a different supported browser. This will help us determine if the problem is browser related.
