Hello there, Brenda117. We can double-check the employee setup and review the paycheck before running their wages in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Since you mentioned that they receive regular pay sometimes, we can review the employee setup to determine if they are classified as salaried or hourly.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees section located under the Team tab.
  2. Double-click on the employee's name from the Employee List.
  3. Under the Base Pay box, click Edit
  4. Please check the employee setup here, as it may be the cause of this issue.
  5. Once done, click the Save button.

However, if the specific pay type isn't included in the pay period, we recommend unassigning it to avoid adding it to employees' paychecks.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Employees section located under the Team tab.
  2. Double-click on the employee's name from the Employee List.
  3. Go to the Additional Pay Types and click the dropdown arrow under the Action Column.
  4. Then, choose Unassign.

You can always reach out to the Community if you need anything else.
