Contract labor paid with cash

I have a contract laboror who was paid with cash for hours worked and sale commissions.  I only use the general ledger .  How do I record his labor and commissions in Quickbooks for the year end 1099?

We can track the hours worked using a timesheet and create an item for the commissions. Then, let's create a check for the payment.
