I'm glad to help remove those North Carolina (NC) payroll tax forms from your QuickBooks Online Payroll account, controlsolllc-gm.
QuickBooks will automatically show NC tax forms since there's a payroll history from the Desktop file. All you need to do is locate the active/inactive employee that has an NC address.
Let me show you how to locate employees and update their addresses.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
- Click Payroll from the left menu, then select Employees.
- From the All Employees drop-down, choose Inactive Employees or All employees.
- Click the name of the employee to open the profile.
- Check and change the address from the Profile and Employment section.

- Make sure there's no NC address from the employee's profile. You can enter the SC address for inactive employees.
- Click Done to confirm the changes.
Once done, refresh QuickBooks for changes to take effect. Those NC payroll tax forms should now disappear.
I'm adding these articles to help you set up QuickBooks Online.
