desktop direct depost dates

Hello there, @cpa13.

Yes, you're right. Wednesday (11-11-2020) is two days prior to Friday (11-13-2020). Then, you've processed your direct deposit payroll to Intuit before 5:00 PM PST. However, federal banking holidays can affect when your employees get paid. Let me provide further details about this.

In QuickBooks, weekends and federal holidays are non-banking days. Since you've submitted your payroll on 11-11-2020 which is a federal holiday (Veterans Day), your direct deposit will be drawn from your account the next banking day. With this, I'd recommend letting your employees know when will they possibly received their paychecks and be deposited in their respective accounts. You can learn more about this, through this article's QuickBooks Desktop Payroll section: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?. It also provides an example of what does a 2-day lead time and a holiday look like.

After processing your payroll, you'll have to check the status of your employees' direct deposit paycheck. This is to ensure they'll get paid on time. For the step-by-step guide, kindly check out this article: Check the status of an employee's direct deposit. It also includes topics about payroll status errors and their fix.
