desktop enhanced payroll state withholding for State of CO

I have QBs desktop enhanced payroll.  One employee.  I have not run any payroll for 2026 yet.  I am looking at my payroll list of items and under Co Withholding, there is no percent/dollar amount, it is just blank.  I was under the impression that the Quickbooks update took care of THAT item (as it does with Fed/SS/Medicare) .  I do know I have to manually go in and update the Co State Unemployment rate each year as that is business specific.  I did not change ANY settings in terms of my employee setup this year and it has withheld the taxes every year previous for the CO withholding taxes so wondering if I missed a notification about this item and an update for it?  I am also seeing that the State of Co Famli pd leave percentages have NOT been updated for 2026 either and are still showing the .88 from 2025.  I was told that once QB's received that update, then payroll would "correct itself"...is that accurate as well?

Thanks for any help

Thank you for reaching out to us, Juls. I’m here to help you keep your payroll taxes up to date in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

QuickBooks updates and QuickBooks Payroll Tax Table updates serve different purposes. QuickBooks updates improve and enhance the software itself, while Payroll Tax Table updates specifically address payroll tax rates, regulatory compliance, and accurate tax calculations.

Once your tax table is updated, QuickBooks will automatically apply and calculate the latest federal and state tax rates, including withholding and paid leave taxes like Colorado FAMLI.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu at the top of QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select Get Payroll Updates from the dropdown list.
  3. In the Update Window, check the box for Download entire payroll update. Click Download Latest Update.
  4. Once the tax table update is installed, you’ll see a confirmation message.

For taxes unique to your business, such as CO State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) rates, manual updates are still required.

Additionally, you can refer to this article for guidance on running your employee's payroll.

Ummm yes I have ALREADY done the get payroll updates, ENTIRE payroll updates, at least 4 times since January 30th including just this morning and there is still nothing in the amount for CO-withholding column.  Again, no changes to employee information.  Any other ideas?

The CO Famli leave has ALSO not updated as it still shows .88 and that has been reduced to ..44

Is there anyone else that is having this issue?
