To track miles on the QuickBooks app, you'll need to have another subscription for the online version. This way, you'll be able to track your business or personal mileage by using its app.

Once done, you can install QuickBooks app on the phone traveling with the vehicle. Grant the location permissions and also you need to be a master admin to be able to track mileage. Then, follow these detailed steps to track Mileage on the Online version:
- Go to the Mileage section and click on Auto-tracking. There will be a toggle button beside Auto-tracking, you have to wipe it to turn it on.
- From the Mileage option, select the Vehicle icon.
- Then, click on the Add vehicle option.
- You have to enter the details about the vehicle.
- Hit Save.
Now QuickBooks can track your vehicle mileage itself. Categorize them as Personal or Business. You can also add the extra details of the trip you have by swiping left for Business and right for Personal. Once done adding details, save it.
After reaching the destination, users can categorize on their mobile devices. Here's how:
- First, open QuickBooks mobile app.
- Click on Menu and select Mileage.
- Next, click on the Unreviewed tab.
- Select the trip and categorize the trip as Personal or Business.
- You can add the purpose for the trip and click Save.
