Join nowWe have multiple clients using QBO. We perform payroll tax payments and forms for them. They do NOT want full service payroll. We haven't been able to just turn off the tax payment and form feature of this. We are being told by QB that you have full service payroll or nothing at all. This CAN'T be right. Our clients want us, as their accountants locally, to handle this for them.
QuickBooks, you MUST give us this option!!!!!!!!! or we will advise our clients to stop using your payroll service!!!!!!
I can still provide you an option where you can use QuickBooks payroll service without subscribing to Full Service, @VolLRB.
You can reach out to our customer support directly so they can switch your client's subscription over the phone. Before that, I recommend canceling your client's Full-Service subscription first so they can change their payroll subscription.
Here's how:
After the cancelation, they'll receive an email confirmation once we're done reviewing their request.
Then, you can now reach out to our phone support so they can add your clients to their new subscription. Just follow these simple steps:
To ensure we address your concern on time, check out our support hours.
If there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know. I'll be around to help you.
I misspoke on the type of subscription the clients have. They have what is now called "Core", but they don't want Intuit processing their taxes and forms. They want their accountant to do it. We have spoken over the phone MANY times with customer support on this issue and most have said it can't be turned off. We got 2 over the span of speaking to 17 different people who said they could turn it off. We got 2 clients turned off for a few weeks but now it is enabled again!
QB offering to do it as part of the payroll package is nice IF THE CLIENT WANTS IT, but they should not be forced into it.
As I said previously, we are preparing to advise our QBO clients not to use the QB Payroll service at all due to this issue.
This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience, @VolLRB.
I understand that you've already spoken to our phone agents. However, reaching out to our payroll support is our best option so you can switch to a regular payroll service.
Let me guide you how:
Once connected, have our support specialist downgrade your payroll subscription.
I'm also attaching our newest payroll services for your reference.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. I'll be around to for you. Thanks for posting and have a nice day.
We have already tried the online "chat" method also.
We will try again, but are ready to give up on the issue.
