Hello there, 55,

When you upgrade your QuickBooks 2020, you'll want to follow these steps below to reactivate payroll:

  1. Click Employees.
  2. Select My Payroll Service, and Account/Billing Information.
  3. Sign in using your Intuit Account.
  4. In the Service Information section, select the Reactivate link next to your service status.
  5. Select your payroll service, then select Proceed to Checkout.
  6. Select a Payment Method, you can update or add your payment information. Then select Submit.
  7. Select Place Order.
  8. Select Next and then Return to QuickBooks.
  9. Verify that your service is active by signing back in, and selecting Employees, then My Payroll Service. Then select Account/Billing Information and check the Service Status.

Then, update your payroll tax table to ensure payroll taxes will calculate on your paychecks.

I'll be around if you have other questions.
