Employee moving from CA to Tennessee

My only employee will be moving from CA to TN and working remotely from home. I have intuit online payroll. What steps do I need to do to change from her from CA to TN. Do I need to register for TN? Or will Intuit do all this for me? Does she need to do anything? She will be working remotely from home so I am also not sure what to put as an additional work location? Do I enter her new home address?

I have some information about changing the employee address. You'll want to contact both state agencies to make sure you're correctly setting up the taxes.

 

Once verified, you can edit your employee's profile and add a new work location. Here's how:

 

  1. In your IOP account, go to the Setup tab.
  2. In the Company and Account section, select Work Locations.
  3. Tick Add a Work Location. Enter the work location address.
  4. Click Save.
