Employee Names with (2) can't join work force?

When I first set up my payroll, some employees were assigned a name with (1). I assume this is because of pervious payroll that was imported from a paid service.

 

Now when I send an invite to view pay stubs and W-2's through 'Work Force' the invites won't go through because of the special characters. After almost three years I am doing direct deposits for them now, if they wish. I know I can print the pay stubs a W-2's.

So my question: Is there a known remedy for this?

Employee Names with (2) can't join work force?

You'll want to edit the employee's names before sending an invite, Wallboard.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to Employees, then select Employee center.
  2. Double-click the name of the employee.
  3. Choose a tab and make the necessary changes.
  4. When you're done, select OK.

Then, try to send the Workforce invite again. If the same error persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks support to check on what else they can offer.

  1. In QBDT, go to the Help menu at the top to get to QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact Us at the bottom to connect with our live support.

That was easy enough. Just change the special character(s) to a letter.
