Employee onboarding documents

I have been collecting i9s, W4s and applications for current employees but cannot figure out how to attach those documents to each employee in QBO.

Hi there, @spbykatie.

 

At this time, there isn't an option to attach employees' documents such as I-9, W4, and their application in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll just have to manually enter that information for each of your employees and keep the hard copy of the documents.

 

Also, you can put a checkmark in the Have you stored a completed Form I-9 in your files? checkbox to indicate that you've stored the I-9 form in your files. Here's how:

 

  1. Click Workers from the left menu, then select Employees.
  2. Choose the employee from the list.
  3. Click the pencil icon beside the Employment section.
  4. Put a checkmark in the Have you stored a completed Form I-9 in your files? checkbox.
  5. Click Done.

Please repeat the steps for the rest of your employees.
